The summer 2002 Road trip holds many fond and frightening memories for adventurers Zachary, Benjamin, and Matthew. Highlights of the trip include the Jefferson Davis Memorial, Mammoth Cave, and the auspicious wedding of Heemstra Hall RD Jon Cavanagh to his lovely wife Kara. Although the adventure began and ended well, the open road proved uncooperative for our tireless trio. What ill-fated feat befell these masked marauders?

Bound together by a love for the wilderness and the desire to prove themselves able, Ben Darr, Dave Cornelder, and Matthew Van Zante teamed up for a hiking trip of epic proportions. Carrying 30+ pounds each and covering over 20 miles of trails in less than two days, the trio deftly proved that Flatlanders Rock!
